Irby Pace - Pop!

I love a good bit of dreamy photography, and when I spotted Art, Ctrl, Del's album dedicated to to Irby Pace's colour-smoke Pop! images, I had to share them.

Irby uses 'reverse engineering' to create day-dream likes pieces from everyday objects and mechanics. The photos in the 'Pop!' collection were created with helium balloons, string, paintball smoke canisters and a (I imagine) some pretty stellar timing. The result is super-vibrant splashes of colour which float through contrasting scenes like playful specters. I love the gorgeous dreamyness of both the coloured smoke and the landscapes Irby captures to frame them. I want them on my wall like, right now.

Check out more of the collection (and the rest of his work) here.
All images are sourced from Irby's website.
