I've always loved dressing a room. Transforming a student room of magnolia-walls and dirty-cream floors into something that looks homely and interesting takes skill, and I like to think I've mastered at least the easy levels. Unfortunately, I've also recently moved into what is supposed to be my first grown-up-person flat, so my tried-and-tested method of ripping out pages from Elle and Vogue and blu-tacking them up isn't really going to fly any more.
Thankfully for me (and my deposit), Pinterest has introduced me to Society 6, an amazing little site that allows artists from around the world to upload illustrations and graphics, which people can then buy as prints, iPhone cases and other products.
The site houses a wide selection of pieces, from Photography to Illustration, Vector to Typography. Most listings are very reasonably priced too, and the site ships worldwide.
It's the great way to support upcoming artists, and the site is constantly being updated with new works, which means there's always something new and refreshing to be tempted by.
